PLAYMAKER'S CLINIC
March 1st, 2025
Our free Playmakers Clinic on March 1st was a huge success! We welcomed 5th to 8th grade athletes to The Grove, where they experienced high-level skill training, game strategy, and competitive reps designed to elevate their game.
Our goal was to help students learn how to excel as efficient basketball players. From making decisions off two feet offensively to becoming lockdown defenders, these are two essential qualities that can help any player create more of a winning impact on their teams.
Clinic Highlights:
- Skill work focused on efficiency and decision-making
- Defensive principles to become a stronger individual and team defender
- Competitive drills to apply skills in live game situations
- Emphasis on our H.E.L.D. Standards – Hard Work, Energy, Leadership, and Discipline
The Showtime x CYS Clinic brought together two community-driven organizations with a shared mission: to empower and develop youth through sports.
By fostering a family-oriented environment, the clinic focused on teaching core values such as teamwork, discipline, and respect, while also providing valuable opportunities for growth.
Showtime’s commitment to developing both basketball skills and character development was at the forefront of the clinic, offering participants not only athletic training but also guidance in building confidence and leadership.
Through this partnership, both organizations aimed to create a positive impact on young athletes, equipping them with the tools to succeed on and off the court.
